CASSADAGA – The village of Cassadaga is the place to be on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, the following activities will take place: an arts and crafts show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Ames Common; a parade at 4 p.m. on Maple Avenue; the Ducky Derby at 5 p.m. at the bridge on Maple Avenue (buy a duck from any CLA member or at the arts and crafts show); and the Kokomo Time Band at 6:30 p.m. on the new floating stage at Cassadaga beach! Come by boat or bring a chair or blanket. The Kiwanis hot dog wagon will be there.

On Sunday, activities begin with a bicycle dice run at 1 p.m. which starts at Cassadaga beach and rides around the lake. It is 3.1 miles. There are prizes! Those under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. The fee is $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12. Helmets are required.

The boat parade kicks off at 3:30 p.m. Participants should assemble at 3 p.m. at DEC Launch on Dale Drive. Any type of boat is welcome to participate. This year the focus is a patriotic theme.

The Marauder Steel Drum Band will perform at 4 p.m. on the new floating stage at Cassadaga beach. Come by boat or bring a chair or blanket.

Events are sponsored by the Cassadaga Lakes Association, the Citizens for a Better Cassadaga and the village of Cassadaga.
